Reception staff speak English, and the manager Mr. Tesfahun arranges boat rides and campfire dinners.

Location & Access

Gorgora Eco Resort is located on the shores of Lake Tana, 32 miles from Gonder Airport. Guests can reach the resort by flying to Gondar and driving 1-1.5 hours, or by flying to Bahir Dar and taking a 2-hour boat ride (costing around $1000 USD for a modern boat or $600 USD for the older boat). The resort can arrange visits to Daga Estifanos Island, an ancient Orthodox monastery, and other nearby historic sites.
